With one of the longest coastlines in the world, Chile is a narrow country. It is bordered between the Pacific Ocean to the West and the Andes mountains to the East. To the South of the country lies the Chilean side of Patagonia that it shares with Argentina. Here you will find the natural wonder of the Torres del Paine National Park. From the lush forests and wildlife to pristine lakes and waterfalls, the park provides some of the most spectacular sceneries you will see on the earth. Adventurers can trek the famous ‘W’ Paine circuit with the Cordeilleria Paine set of mountains as the centre of attention.
I was visiting the Chilean side of Patagonia as part of my tour of Argentina. Crossing the border by public transport, we camped inside the National Park for 3 nights. It was an enjoyable experience to camp and hike in such a natural wonder. If you like the great outdoors and want to experience breathtaking landscapes that seem out of this world, this is a place for you.
