Mexico was a country I had longed dreamed of visiting. I was fascinated with the ancient Mayan cultures when I was a kid and wanted to explore the Mayan temples in Mexico. For this trip, I was travelling through southern Mexico, visiting the two famous Mayan sites of Chichen Itza and Palenque. We joined our journey in Mexico with a visit to Guatemala, which also gave me a chance to visit the Mayan city of Tikal.
