UNESCO World Heritage site
Bryggen
Bergen is sometimes called the “the heart of the fjords”. As the second largest city in Norway, surprisingly it has a very small town feel as you walk around. There are houses that stack up along the hillsides of the city.
Small narrow streets. A local fresh fish market. A UNESCO world heritage site. You can see why a lot of tourist visit this charming city. I was here for only one day and tried to see as much as I could.
Bryggen, 5003 Bergen
Bryggen used to be the largest wooden city, with wooden hoses dating back as early as the 18th century. This UNESCO world heritage site is now an outdoor museum where you can get a glimpse of how local people lived in the past. It sits nicely in front of the bay of Vågen and is a good spot to wander around.
